Role overview
Establishment of 4 Climate Change Learning Centers in 4 selected wards (1 ward each in 4 municipalities) as a platform to strengthen knowledge and information on climate change and disaster risk reduction. Strengthened capacity of the youth through orientation and training on Climate and Disaster Resilience led by Youth Leaders. (Formation of youth groups and socialization).Preparation and Production of Learning Materials and IEC/BCC materials.
Skills, qualifications and experience
•At least Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, or any related field with at least 3 years of firsthand experience in mentioned areas of work.
•Previous knowledge and experience of establishing CCLCs.
•Good understanding and engagement in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change, livelihood promotion, green growth and its related policies and procedures.
•Experience and capacity to engage with local governments.
•Experience of L/WDCRP preparation and conduction of VCAs.
•Experience of developing disaster information management systems.
